Pioneers of Vacant Urban Space
Lectures & workshop
10-11. May 2016.
Open Central Europe aims to address urban vacancy by the temporary use of vacant spaces and by understanding and discussing the mechanisms of these practices. Our goal is to generate debate about the newest practices of interim use in Central Europe, and make their lessons learned more accessible, applicable by transforming them into a practical guide for Central European citizens, urban communities, public and private property owners. Open Central Warsaw is the first event of the Open Central Europe series.
As the 4. event of the Open Central Europe workshop series “Pioneers of Vacant Urban Space” will be held in Bratislava. It aims to connect the initiators of projects from Budapest, Warsaw, Vienna, Bratislava and other cities and together discuss the experience with reactivation of vacant urban spaces.
