Expert workshop & knowledge exchange (closed)

12-13. February 2016.

12-13th of February
KÉK, Bartók Béla út 10-12, Budapest

Open Central Europe aims to address urban vacancy by the temporary use of vacant spaces and by understanding and discussing the mechanisms of these practices. Our goal is to generate debate about the newest practices of interim use in Central Europe, and make their lessons learned more accessible, applicable by transforming them into a practical guide for Central European citizens, urban communities, public and private property owners. Open Central Warsaw is the first event of the Open Central Europe series.

In the frames of the second event of the Open Central Europe workshop series, participants get to know examples of Temporary Use of Budapest and further develop the practical guide, that helps urban actors to reclaim, reuse and revalue vacant properties.

Site visits: Cyclonomia bicycle repair workshop + Budapest School by Prezi,  Auróra community space + coworking office of NGO’s, Leonardo Garden – Community Garden launched and operated by KÉK, Gólya community space and cooperative pub, Müszi – Community Art Level
